Horses and Dragons Don't Mix

The time is currently 11:16pm.  Only 44 more minutes until 2014.

This coming year is known as the Chinese Year of the Horse.  How ironic.  According to the Chinese Zodiac, I am a Dragon.  I thought it would be fun to see how Dragons will fare in the year of the Horse.  Mostly because I am apparently terrible about making resolutions (see 2013's resolutions for a quick reminder....http://talesofthelostlead.blogspot.com/2012/12/my-2013-resolutions.html).  So here goes nothing:

"Year of Horse will be a challenge year for Dragon people."
Regarding my career:  "It's not a good idea to show your aggressive ambition on the career competition.  Changing job in the beginning of the Horse Year is not a smart move. either.  As long as courage and confidence is with you, you should be able to handle the career development in 2014."

Regarding money:  "There is a Golden Star appearing in 2014. That sign shows Dragon people have chance to meet rich and noble people.  Another meaning is you will deal with money related tasks or activities often. That means you can see many money opportunities there."

All I have to say about that is IT'S ABOUT FRICKIN' TIME!!!  But remember, I am a horse owner.  So financial opportunity just means that I can splurge on groceries....like getting the more expensive brand of grated Parmesan cheeseI do need some new half chaps though...

Regarding love:  "The luck of love relationship is fair to Dragon people in 2014. Horse won't bring too much chemistry of love to Dragon. If you are single and looking for love, then you need to be patient because there is no Romance Star toward you in 2014. You have better chance in the March, August, September and November."

Ladies, hang on to your boyfriends in March, August, September and November.  You have been warned.

Regarding health:  "Dragon people have to pay attention to safety, because of an injury sign showing in 2014. They must drive very carefully on the road to avoid the hospital treatment."

I'm giggling at "the hospital treatment".  Hehehe.

"The activities related to ocean, lake, boating and swimming are not recommended. To have enough sleep and rest is a simple way to relax yourself. Dragon people shouldn't miss regular meals."

Considering I live in a land-locked state, I don't think the ocean will be a problem.  There seems to be a "don't mix dragons with water" theme in the year of the horse.  It's like I'm a Gremlin-don't get water on her or she will turn evil!!

I'm not sure if I feel better after reading those or not, but there it is.  One thing I have about 2013 was that, at the end of the day, all that really matters is living each and every moment to the fullest.  Don't sell yourself short.  Make really good mistakes.  Be a fiercely loyal friend.  Never be afraid to fail.  Call your Mom whenever you can.  Take your Dad's advice for once.  Tell your family you love them everyday.  Don't forget to breath in and out.

And 5.....4.....3.....2......1......Happy New Year!!!
